Dentures are oral removable  appliances used to  replace missing teeth. They are made up of acrylic or porcelain material with or without cobalt chrome metal framework. Different types of rempovable dentures include full(complete) or partial , flexible  or rigid and tooth or  implant-supported dentures. With maintenance, the average lifespan of a denture is  usually 7-10 years.

Removable dentures are easy to maintain as they can be removed and cleaned thoroughly.

Removable dentures are usually indicated in patients who cannot be restored with permanent prosthesis.Dentures provide a radiant smile and  affects appearance of face making you look younger.

Implant-supported dentures are  best  removable prosthesis .They are more stable  than traditional dentures .They are directly attached to the implants in jaw bone.

Care after Denture treatment

• Remove denture every night so that your mouth is  bacteria-free and your gums remains  healthy. It also helps to maintain your bones unaltered and strong.
• Dentures can be cleaned using soft brush and paste.
• Brush your gums, tongue, inner cheeks, roof of your mouth and any remaining teeth twice a day to remove plaque and debris.
• Remember to soak your dentures in a denture solution.
